As part of the developing Spring 2020 Lincoln Live programme, Mansions of the Future will be presenting a new film commission and series of immersive installations by London based artist, musician and producer Haich Ber Na. During a period of research and development Haich will visit Lincoln in January to meet – with the aim to then collaborate with – students and practicing professionals working in sound and music production, film and television production, interior architecture and design and fashion / costume or set design.
Haich will deliver a short presentation about his practice and outline plans for his upcoming commission, which will be inspired by 70s experimental film, sci-fi futures and modernist interior design the set-like installations will form the backdrop to the production of a new short film and supporting photography series.
Self-taught London based producer and musician Haich Ber Na is the director of his beautiful yet awkward universe. Adding his own broken vocals over oscillating experimental electronic cuts, Ber Na fuses the sounds of indie-pop, soul and grime. Touching on introspective and self-reflective topics, he made a strong entrance with his 6 track debut EP ‘Unbalanced’. Ber Na’s contribution to the Lincoln Live programme, is a continuation from his 2019 release Everywhere’s Home; a musical and visual project which explored autobiographical notions of alienation and isolation.
His effortless musical rebellion and stunning self-directed visuals have gained Haich Ber Na acclaim on platforms such as i-D, NOWNESS, The Face, Boiler Room and more. He is establishing himself as an all-encompassing artist set on pushing the boundaries whilst working towards his 2020 release.
