Artist Talk & Discussion with George Eksts, part of Frequency Festival

Artist George Eksts will be sharing his work and ongoing experimentation with digital prototyping techniques.

Free, booking required

To coincide with Frequency Festival 2019, Mansions of the Future is presenting newly commissioned work by artist George Eksts. George will be sharing his work and ongoing experimentation with digital prototyping techniques, which he uses to freely explore the possibilities and potential within the restrictions of physical space, considering both the public and private, and the notion of temporality.

George’s commission for Frequency Festival; Serious String, uses images taken in public spaces around Lincoln to inform interactive, physical and digital work presented within the space, creating digital connections with the interior architecture of Mansions of the Future.

Based in London, George’s interdisciplinary practice makes use of CGI animation, drawing and photography to explore ideas of progress, repetition & reproduction. Working with digital and analogue processes – often moving back and forth between the two, George’s work usually connects objects in physical space with online projects. Recent projects include Slow Install, a virtual gallery exhibiting 3D copies of existing artworks alongside propositional ideas for future works.
