Collaborative Conversations: Everyday Philosophising

Every Tuesday: 29 January, 5 February, 12 February, 19 February, 26 February & 5 March
5pm – 6.30pm
FREE, Booking required, suitable for ages 15+

Mansions of the Future is holding its first collaborative conversation series. Join us for a free conversation exploring philosophical ideas that touch our everyday lives; ideas that lie at the heart of our thoughts, feelings and actions.

Does money equal happiness?, Can it be good to be bad?; Could you really meet a stereotype?; Are animals persons?; Are children just mini adults in training?; Do we all have unconscious biases?; Is the past more important than the future?

This six-week series is an opportunity to philosophise together about what interests you, influenced by stories and experiences to develop thinking and perspectives. Inquiries can begin with anything from a quote, to a news story, an artwork, film, or a poem.

Simple rules place ideas centre stage – levelling the playing field. You don’t need to know anything about philosophy. If you are curious and want to take part in a creative conversation about things that matter why not join us.

The series will be led by practical philosopher Ayisha De Lanerolle, currently Mansions of the Future Director of Fundamental Questions.
