Join Jo Tolley, a public speaker, writer and activist for this month’s Communal Lunch; together we will discuss our awareness and understanding of equality, disability & diversity in contemporary society. Discussion is at the forefront of her work and is used by Jo as a tool for provoking positive change. Jo has Cerebral Palsy and is an advocate for integration and education around disability and disability rights.

Our free monthly Communal Lunches events invite artists, local community groups, writers, academics and creative practitioners to bring people together, create new networks and inspire new thinking and debate, through the universal gesture of conversation over a shared meal.

Equality, Disability & Diversity also forms part of the Mansions of the Future Volunteer Masterclass Programme, therefore volunteers will be given priority when booking.

This event is part of Represented: Platforms not compromise, a programme of events and activities highlighting an urgency for equality in representation and critiquing misrepresentation, under-representation and misinterpretation. In conversation with artists, writers, curators, performers, activists and communities, the programme aims to welcome, acknowledge and present a growing plurality of voices.
