Booking required

Join us for Communal Lunch: migration, Brexit & freedom of movement,co-hosted by Artist Ruth Beale & Lincoln Polish Society on Saturday 30 March, 12 noon – 2pm.

Communal Lunch: Migration, Brexit & Freedom of Movement is an opportunity to discuss how these issues impact on people’s lives. As well as sharing a selection of polish delicacies, including beetroot soup, potato pancakes, cabbage (with and without meat) and polish bread, guests will have the opportunity contribute to a collective timeline – tracking the story of the EU against our own life experiences – and to view All the Banners (Silent), an intimate exhibition of hand-made blank banners created by Ruth Beale.

The Communal Lunch programme began in 2018 as part of inaugural artist Kathrin Böhm’s Culture is a Verb commission for Mansions of the Future. Each monthly lunch has a different theme and uses food as the perfect common denominator to connect everyone around the table.

Communal Lunch: Migration, Brexit & Freedom of Movement forms part of a longer-term project by Ruth Beale, who is working as a commissioned artist with Mansions of the Future throughout 2019.
