Community Haystacks is a celebration of ancient common land in Lincoln, the West Common. It brings together residents to recreate the pre- mechanical hay harvest & revive traditions of scything & commoning. ‘Haystacks’ are nomadic events held to present & talk about rural issues & practices in urban places. The series started in 2013 organised by Kathrin Böhm, the Mansions of the Future Artist in Residence.
