Our Family Sessions take place every Saturday throughout the Summer Holidays and beyond, we are inviting families to play, learn and be creative. Through this series of free workshops we will explore a range of practices delivered by Lincolnshire-based artists, poets, performers and creative practitioners.

#Nonsense Poetry
Saturday 24 August, 10 – 12 noon
Booking required

Join local poet, performer & artist, Melody Clark, to blend comedy & poetry together. Participants will have the opportunity to create nonsense poems, limericks & writings inspired by the life of objects.

#Kumihimo Jewellery Making
Saturday 31 August, 10am – 12noon
Booking Required

Join artist, Faye Issac, to make twine jewellery, learn the Japanese weaving method of Kumihimo & select your own colour combination of natural twine. Make something for yourself, each other or a gift for someone special.

#Comics
Saturday 7 September, 10am – 12noon

Join Lincolnshire based graphic novelist, Dr Nicola Streeten to transform your family stories into entertaining comics. Explore Nicola’s own family comic, Liquorice, & be inspired to produce a unique publication that you can continue at home.


# Kite Making
Saturday 14 September, 10am – 12noon
Booking required

Join Lincolnshire based creative, Kathleen Smith, to design & create a kite to fly high in the Lincoln Common’s. Different Kite designs will be provided to suit a range of ages and abilities. Kathleen’s practice brings making and craft to public places.


#Lego Stop-Motion
Saturday 21 September, 10am – 12noon

Join local artist’s Andrew & Ben to create a stop motion animation movie! Bring your favourite Lego & explore simple, but effective techniques to make Lego figures come to life. We encourage imagination & experimentation.
