Visual artist Bridget Smith presents visionary statements from leading creatives on billboards & hoardings on Norman Street, Broadgate & Silver Street.
Smith has installed visionary statements from invited artists, writers, musicians, playwrights and filmmakers, inspired by Emanuel Swedenborg - an 18th century visionary - across Lincoln’s public realm. These ‘wayside pulpits’ offer ways of thinking about how to live in these uncertain times. The visionary statements for Lincoln come from leading visual artists from Jeremy Deller to Gavin Turk, Bob & Roberta Smith; to authors Rae Earl and Ali Smith; musicians Robert Wyatt & filmmakers Bonnie Wright.
